Blog 15 - Digipack. Part 2/5.

This blog will consist of flat plans for my digipack and it will also then include the finishing digipacks in which I did using different softwares and at the end of this blog will include an evaluation for the digipack making and process.

The first digipack flat plan is the image of the female holding a piece of A4 paper. I chose to do this because it shows the lead singer of the band on the front and also shows who is going to be the lead role in the music video. I made sure that the image which would be chosen is with somebody who has a depressed look on her face. There will be dark make-up on her eyes in order to represent the genre of emo's. Not only this, but also, when it comes to the picture being taken. She will have coloured highlights in her hair which connected with the title of the digipack. I've shown this by using two different colours in this flat plan: The red and the blue. Though, of course these will not be the proper colours. This is to just let it stand out to the idea in which I have had.

The second flat plan is the back cover. I changed this. Firstly, the back cover was an image of the three males and the female in the narrative. They were seperate pictures. Two were in the style of photographs, and they were torn. The other was placed in a heart to signify that it's love. I changed this because I didn't think it went well with the front cover, so instead, I got inspired by Paramore's 'Riot' album cover. The image is attached to this blog - it inspired me to use a similar effect to it. Though, I made it different. Instead of Riot repeated plenty of times, I used the word 'The only exception' - Because that is the title of this song and this gets the message across. Not only this, but I added in the names of the band members but in red to make it stand out.

The bind which seperates the front page and last I chose two different styles in order to try out in the final project. I firstly chose the first one, but changed my mind because the colours I used in the final project suited the second bind of the red and black. Which goes back to the Metallica digipack. The colours black and red symbolise the genre in which I am trying to get across.

The inside of the digipack I have chosen to do a little narrative; a taster of it. Using the lyrics from the song, I have placed them next to a picture of each couple. The ones in which are the break-up relationships will have a lyric which fits in well with that particular scene and then the last picture will be off the final couple in which will have the 'Only exception' written next to it. In a different font to make it stand out more. The background behind these pictures will be the image from the stop motion stop in which tells the story of her past. With her father breaking his own heart and leaving.

Overall, I believed these flat plans helped me for my final digipack project.
